RICK FORTENBURY - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Rick started his career in 1999 by joining JPI where he held several positions within the company; Community Accountant, Senior Revenue Coordinator and Development Project Manager. As a Development Project Manager for the Student Housing Division, Rick was responsible for engaging in the entire development process from conception through disposition. He played a key role in the development of five student housing projects, totaling over $100 million, located in Florida, Minnesota, Texas and California.
In 2005 he was hired by Montecito Investment Company. While at Montecito, Rick was responsible for the underwriting of acquisitions, asset management, and cash flow management as well as working closely with the sales and marketing team to ensure that sales projections were met. He worked on over $500 million in acquisitions, securing financing and facilitating the entire acquisition process from due diligence through sales.
Rick joined York Residential in late 2006 as Development Manager and later Managing Director for Florida. He was responsible for the oversight of all development, construction and property management activities. During his tenure, he managed over $150 million worth of new development projects.
Rick graduated from Florida State University in 1998 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in Finance.
TREY CAUDELL - ACQUISITIONS DIRECTOR NORTH FLORIDA
Mr. Caudell is active in acquisitions and management in the Central Florida region. Trey has been a real estate broker for over 31 years and has specialized in the multifamily management business for the past 18 years.
Prior to joining Rivergate, Trey served as Director of Operations for the CB Richard Ellis' Florida Multi-housing Group and was responsible for all aspects of the group's production and operational needs. As the Director of Operations, Trey assisted his team in successfully transacting over $5 billion in multifamily acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to CBRE Trey was a regional manager for Altman development for the Central Florida Region.
Trey received his Bachelor degree in Architecture, with further studies in Business. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida and a licensed Securities Broker (Series 22, 63).
CAROLINA BATTAFARANO - OPERATIONS MANAGER
Carolina is the Operations Manager for Rivergate. In this capacity, she is responsible for the day to day operations primarily focusing her time ensuring the seamless, profitable daily operation for the team. She is responsible for the operational oversight of all lines of business within the organization. This includes data entry, accounts payable, payroll, grant report entry, managing the organizations HR, helping and creating organizational and program budgets and other related administrative functions.
In the Marketing Department, Carolina oversees all marketing, advertising, website and promotional staff and activities. She establishes marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data and implement marketing plan changes as needed. Prior to joining Rivergate Companies, LLC Carolina worked for J.K. Marketing and Unitel Global for similar capacities.
Carolina holds a of Bachelor of Science degree from Faculty of Medicine of University of Salvador, Bs As, Argentina. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
